Registration is now open at www.dfi.org/S3-2020 for DFI’s S3: Slopes, Slides and Stabilization webinar being held Wednesday, August 5, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. EST (US).

The webinar is part of an ongoing software discussion series for DFI’s S3: Slopes, Slides and Stabilization conferences developed to further industry understanding of the use of software for slope stabilization problems.

The software panel discussion kicks-off with a presentation, “Incorporating Deep Foundations in Limit-Equilibrium Slope Stability Analyses: Revisiting Fundamentals and Seismic Applications,” by Ben Turner, Ph.D., P.E., Dan Brown and Associates. The presentation puts forward a real-world slope stabilization problem that a panel will then address.

Following the introductory presentation, providers of commonly used software packages will discuss, analyze and present solutions to the problem; discuss how the software was used to prepare various solutions; and provide tips on using packages to produce and validate solutions. Panelists represent Bentley/Soilvision/Plaxis, GEOSTASE, Itasca and Rocscience.

Next year, DFI’s S3 2021: Slopes, Slides and Stabilization will be held at the Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco from August 3-5, 2021.
