Mr. Jim Mocker Retires After Forty-Two Years

The management of Lally Pipe & Tube is announcing the retirement of Mr. Jim Mocker effective December 31, 2019. Jim has been an industry leader for forty-two years, with thirty-five years as an Executive and Vice President of Lally Pipe & Tube.

Jim is an icon in the pipe piling industry, and he has been instrumental in making the Lally name one of the most recognized and respected suppliers of quality steel pipe piling and structural pipe throughout North America. Jim was an active member of several professional associations, including the NASPD, DFI, and PDCA.

Jim’s steel pipe career began while he was a college student at the Ohio State University with Columbus Steel Supply in 1977 and later joined the Lally team in 1984. During his thirty-five year career with Lally, the company grew from one location in Latonia, Kentucky to six company- owned facilities and sales offices throughout the US.

Jim and his wife Lorel are looking forward to residing in the upper Midwest. They have three adult children Jamie, Jack, and Joel, and three beloved fur babies Rufus, Scout, and Owen.

We will especially miss Jim’s wit, sense of humor, management style, and kind people skills.

With Jim’s upcoming retirement, the senior management of Lally is pleased to make the following management promotions effective January 1, 2020:

Mr. Jack Mocker was named General Manager of Lally’s Struthers, Ohio, facility. Jack will be leading the Ohio team and responsible for managing administrative, plant operations, and sales functions. Jack’s been with Lally since 2012.
Mr. Bob Mraz was named Sales Manager of Lally’s Northeast Region and will lead the Northeast sales team, managing the piling and structural markets for the sales region. Bob’s an industry veteran that has been with Lally since 1988.

With the leadership of Jack, Bob, and the entire Ohio team, we are looking forward to more successful years ahead.
