RPI Liquidates Clamshell Buckets and Rock Grapples
RPI Construction Equipment has released its Clamshell Bucket and Crane Rock Grapple Liquidation Catalog, offering a range of used buckets and grapples for crane-based operations across marine construction, dredging, and material handling applications.
The liquidation includes a mix of digging buckets, rehandling buckets, rock grapples, and hydraulic clamshell buckets. These units are designed for crane use and are suited for applications such as excavation, dredging, rip rap placement, and bulk material handling.
According to the catalog, equipment varies in condition from ready-to-work units to components available as-is or for rebuild, giving contractors flexibility based on budget and project requirements.
Available Equipment Categories
Digging Buckets
The catalog includes digging buckets such as the Williams 4.5-yard round nose bucket, weighing approximately 19,900 pounds and available either as-is or rebuilt. A Blaw Knox 1-yard square nose digging bucket is also listed, offering a smaller-capacity option for lighter operations.
Rock Grapples
Multiple crane-mounted rock grapples are included in the liquidation. The McGinnes RG-4 offers a 30-ton capacity and is listed in ready-to-work condition. Additional options include the Owen RA-78 with a 12-ton capacity and the Owen RA-65 with a 7-ton capacity, both suited for individual rock handling and placement tasks.
The catalog also features a McGinnes S7GP 2-yard rip rap grapple, available either as-is or rebuilt depending on project requirements.
Rehandling Buckets
Several rehandling buckets are available, including the ProLine PLSR2 3-yard bucket in working condition and multiple Blaw Knox, Erie, Williams, and Owen units with capacities ranging from ¾ yard to 3.5 yards.
Condition varies across units, with some listed as ready to work and others requiring minor repairs, providing options for contractors seeking cost-effective equipment solutions.
Hydraulic Clamshell Buckets
The liquidation also includes hydraulic clamshell buckets, such as the Kinshofer 0.85-yard unit, which features removable teeth and is listed in very good working condition. Two units are available in this category.
Pricing and Condition
Pricing across the catalog varies significantly based on equipment type and condition. Smaller rehandling buckets are listed at lower price points, while larger grapples and digging buckets are priced higher, particularly when rebuilt options are available.
Several units are offered in both as-is and rebuilt configurations, allowing buyers to balance upfront cost with long-term performance.
