Job Story: Who doesn’t like to read about an intriguing project, especially one that contains impressive photos? Job stories should range from 400-1,000 words and should be submitted with as many photos as possible. It is strongly recommended to place emphasis on the obstacles overcame in the project, in addition to the location, contractor(s) involved, equipment used, new technology, etc.
Instructional: Next to job stories, “how to” and “guidelines for” articles are most coveted by readers. Although they should be nonpromotional in nature, Pile Buck always ensures that proper credit is given to the individual and/or company.
Technical: Objective, educational, technical case studies pertaining to pile driving, drilling, deep foundation, and/or marine construction should range from 4,000-10,000 words. Photos and diagrams are strongly encouraged.
Safety: Even a simple list of safety tips can make a great article, however, it never hurts to provide real-life scenarios as support. Photos and diagrams are encouraged.
Legal: Want to educate the industry? Let your firm share knowledge and experience. Like safety articles, legal articles should be supported with real-life scenarios, e.g. historical cases and job site stories. Often, Pile Buck legal articles are “lightened” with the help of our comic.
