Simpson Strong-Tie Redirects over $75,000 in Habitat for Humanity Funding to Organization’s COVID-19 Relief Efforts

easy deep foundations

Simpson Strong-Tie, the leader in engineered structural connectors and building solutions, announced that it is redirecting funding from its current projects with Habitat for Humanity to the organization’s Homes, Communities, Hope + You (HCH+Y) campaign for a total of more than $75,000 in cash and product. Habitat’s HCH+Y is helping families who’ve been hit hard by the economic impact of COVID-19 by providing funds and resources for covering costs of housing and other basic necessities.

Simpson Strong-Tie donates over $52,000 in cash and products annually to Habitat’s Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project. With the cancellation of the Carter Work Project, the company chose to redirect funding to help those struggling with basic needs because of the coronavirus. In addition, $25,000 in funding to the Habitat for Humanity East Bay / Silicon Valley affiliate located near the Simpson Strong-Tie headquarters is being redirected locally to COVID-19 relief.

“The hardships we all face due to COVID-19 are compounded in underserved communities, where many individuals find themselves without a job and families face financial uncertainty. We want to help ensure these families remain stable and secure in order to keep all of our communities strong,” said Karen Colonias, president and CEO of Simpson Strong-Tie.
