SFT Spanish Office Delivered Cone Fenders For Refurbished Cruise Berth in Alicante

Alicante has always been an important gateway for seafarers, being a historic Mediterranean port. Tourism is the main economic driver for Alicante, with the cruise terminal being a very important entry point. The city, located at the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula, has now invested into the refurbishment of its cruise berth. and the local contractor Pavasal was responsible for the construction works.

Our Spanish office, being in Valencia, took the lead in consulting, engineering, sales and client support for the new fender systems. In total, 19 sets of SPC Cone 1100 Fenders were delivered for the new cruise berth. The fender systems were specifically designed for the requirements of the new berth and were manufactured with a closed steel panel design measuring 2100x2400mm, with 300 mm top chamfer. The closed box steel panel improves the corrosion resistance of the fender systems and reduces maintenance works for the port, as the old fender systems had open panels. Additionally, we delivered 19 T Head Bollards with a capacity of 150t each.

Our experienced sales teams are with our clients along the way. In Alicante, our local sales team assisted Pavasal for the first fender system installation and additionally made a final inspection after the completion of the installation to ensure correct installation and commissioning. We are committed to provide after sales service and assistance during commissioning and throughout the service life of the fender system.
