Welcome to Pile Buck (pilebuck.com), operated by Weyland-Tyrell Group, LLC (“we,” “us,” “Pile Buck”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the website, forums, marketplace, quote-request tool, Projects & Bids board, Pro membership, and related services (the “Services”).
By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information when you register. You are responsible for your login credentials and all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Violate any law or these Terms
- Post spam, scams, or unsolicited commercial messages
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
- Upload malware or interfere with the Services
- Scrape, copy, or republish substantial portions of the site without permission
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
User content
You retain ownership of content you post (forum posts, listings, messages). By posting, you grant Weyland-Tyrell Group, LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use that content in connection with the Services and our magazine. You represent that you have the rights to post the content and that it does not infringe others’ rights.
Pro membership and paid services
Pro membership is billed yearly. Florida sales tax is collected where required. Marketplace listings are sold for a flat fee paid through Stripe. Fees are non-refundable except as stated in the Marketplace Rules or required by law. We may change prices with notice.
Disclaimers
The Services and all content are provided “as is.” We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Technical articles, forum posts, and listings are for general information. They are not professional engineering, legal, or safety advice. You are solely responsible for verifying information before relying on it in any project or purchase.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Weyland-Tyrell Group, LLC and its owners, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $100 if you paid nothing). Some states do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account or access at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any other reason. You may close your account by contacting us. Provisions that should survive (licenses, disclaimers, liability limits) will survive termination.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms. The “Last updated” date shows the current version.
